I officially resigned from Altera Corporation (Nasdaq: ALTR) on November 28th, after eight and a half long years of service to the company. While I never regretted my decision, I left with a very heavy heart knowing that I had to leave the team I built, developed, and all the fellow friends & colleague from all over the world I spent most of my time with behind. Ever since my resignation, I received numerous emails, phone calls, and personal visits from people who have come to know me over the years. For that, I am truly flattered. I guess it took a leaving to really appreciate how much people cared for me and the number of friends I have made along the wonderful eight and a half years.
Well of course upon my resignation, I have been eating good, drinking good, chilling good with the group of friends in the office. I was treated to a farewell lunch on my last day of work, November 28th, and I couldn't forget I was "forced" to make a speech that lasted half an hour I believe hahaha... but that was really a nice meal, not to mention excellent company, with 40 people actually turning up!!
Though I was all prepared to leave, but the tears of some of my good friends shattered my heart... not because I was hurt by anyone of them, but was truly sad, touched, yet honored. I guess in my first & second jobs, nobody actually cried for me =) but here I am, along came my friends who missed all the time we spent with one another teasing, consoling, encouraging, complimenting, learning, fighting, and arguing, but never made believing & holding grudges. These are the people I have come to know and will always be proud associating with. Way to go my friends!
A day before my leaving, a group of my close friends (I would rather call them friends than team) in the office actually took the trouble to buy a CB gift basket with a big card fully decorated & designed by our one and only, Penny, as a farewell gift for me. I really don't know how to put it well, but I really like it! And I am grateful for your well wishes, & the thoughtfulness... How I wish I didn't have to leave......
But hey, for people who don't know what CB is, it's not Cordon Blue, and definitely not something vulgar in hokkien dialect kakaka... It's Coffee Beans (& Tea Leaf)... a cafe I like most!
Ok, here are the pictures I took... not a good photographer, but definitely a gentle handler hehehe... the basket is still very nicely wrapped. Maybe I should just use it as a deco than finishing the stuffs inside :P

apparently someone has been impersonating Rosemary, Zainal & Chris to drop me some comments here. btw, i have deleted all of them. i know who this person is, he is wearing a mask all the time with anonymous identity as he is too embarrassed & ashamed to be known by all. he spammed my inbox, sent mail to my circle of friends (minus his real identity of course), he is a guy without guts & spine, who can't stand on his own. he was a bad apple in our team last time - the only person who left my team in eight and a half years.
i term him as 小人 (foul person). for someone who spams, impersonates without an identity & who is immature, to talk about justice, equality, ethic & respect, this is the first time i have heard of it hahaha. so i will forgive his childish attitude & behavior. i suggest he grows up to be a real man :)
